Ferries
Our vintage ferry service runs from April until October between Tuckton Tea Gardens, Wick Ferry, Christchurch Quay and Mudeford Sandbank for the beach and Hengistbury Head. It’s the best way to beat the traffic and have an adventurous trip over to the park at the Quay or a day on the beach at the famous Mudeford Sandbank.

Wick Ferry
Some historians believe that the first ferry rights were granted before the Christchurch Priory was built, which would make the service nearly 1000 years old, but nobody disputes that the service is at least 200-250 years old.
The Wick Ferry runs between Wick and the Captain Club Hotel Saturday, Sunday and Monday between 10am and 4pm from November to March and every day (weather and tide permitting) from Easter until the end of October, from 10am until 5:30pm.
If the flag is flying, the ferry is running.
